Viral Conversations is aimed at helping small business owners new to the Internet understand how conversations about your brand, blog or products through various internet mediums like Social Media and local review websites affect your overall business presence online. We then do our best to help you learn to shape that presence once you understand why you should have it to begin with.
This blog isn’t aimed at the Advance user. Our goal is to help folks that could benefit from viral conversations – using them to improve online marketing efforts, online link building campaigns, SEO, social media ROI and more – but are unsure of the “how.”

Behind the Site
Viral Conversations is owned and operated by search engine marketing veterans Michael Gray and Rae “Sugarrae” Hoffman-Dolan. In addition to being regular contributors, Michael and Rae also act as Editorial Directors for the site. The titles below are completely made up (well except for Neil’s.)
Michael Gray – Chief Imagination Officer
Michael Gray started his career in web development in 1998 working for Fortunoff.com, a regional Jewelry and Home Furnishings store. During that time online sales grew from $100,000 to over 25 million. The site was one the first to offer real time updates for it’s bridal and gift registry system across internet and brick and mortar stores. The site was recognized as one of the top shopping sites in 2003 by Internet Retailer. Read more about Michael…
Rae Hoffman-Dolan – Chief Controversy Officer
Ten+ years ago Rae started a small website about her son and his medical condition that became one of the first international support groups and largest website in general on the topic. It earned national media coverage and helped further medical research in the field. Investigating ways to support that site, she found affiliate marketing and became one of the most well known voices in the affiliate landscape and organic search engine optimization. He started designing websites first as a hobby, soon for family members or friends and not long after he officially became a freelance web designer with his first paying client. Since then he’s delved headfirst into a world of SEO, SEM and affiliate marketing and he hasn’t looked back. Read more about Neil…
